MY PERSONAL PAGE
Hello. My name is Derrick Holland, and I hope this web site has been a blessing and a help to you. I wanted to create this personal page, to tell you a little about myself, and the things in life that I enjoy.
First of all, above all else, I am a Christian. I was saved at the age of 15 years, and I am now 36. Though there have been many hard times, I have never regretted serving God. My family and I are members of the Shining Light Baptist Church in Morganton, NC, and we praise God for how He is working in our church. We have seen countless people, both young and old, saved by God's grace.
If you happen to be in our area, we would love to see you at Shining Light. We preach the King James Bible as the infallible and inerrant Word of the living God, and we have an excellent youth program as well. Our pastor, Bro. Danny Castle, has been used mightily of the Lord to reach young people and teenagers.
I live in beautiful western North Carolina, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. God has truly blessed our area with the most wonderful scenery to be found anywhere.
Some of my hobbies are camping, gardening, and travel.....I love the Great Smoky Mountains, and think it is one of the most beautiful places on earth. We also take a yearly vacation to the west coast of Florida each summer.
My all-time favorite TV show is the Andy Griffith Show.
Sports- I love most sports......especially baseball, basketball, and football. I enjoy watching my boys play baseball. My favorite baseball team is the Atlanta Braves.
My personal page would not be complete without mentioning that I am a HUGE fan of Tennessee Volunteers football. GO BIG ORANGE!!!!
